We are located right near the Union Bank in Pisoli. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the bank is. We mostly deal in different kinds of cloth and some ready-made pieces too. The shop is pretty straightforward. We have shelves lining the walls and a big counter where we measure things out. Pisoli has changed a lot since we started, but we are still here doing the same thing every day. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others helping out. We talk to the neighbors and keep an eye on the street. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit near the front until it comes back on. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just wait for people to walk in. Dealing with fabric means your hands are always a bit dry, but you get used to it. We try to keep a good variety so people don’t have to go all the way into the city for basic stuff. The floor is concrete and the fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. People come in to chat as much as they do to buy stuff. We like it that way. It makes the day go by faster. If you need some cloth for a dress or a shirt, we probably have something that will work.
