Lajwanti Teleshoppe

If you find yourself in Kothrud 3, you might see Lajwanti Teleshoppe. We’ve been here for a good while, right in the middle of the neighborhood. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We deal with phones and recharge stuff mostly. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put everything so we don't trip over boxes. It feels like a local hangout sometimes because the same people stop by every week just to say hello or get their balance topped up. We don't have a fancy website or any of that. Most people just know we’re here because they live around the corner. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really get in the way of business. We open up the shutters every morning and watch the street wake up. Kothrud has changed a lot over the years, but our corner feels pretty much like it always has. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. We just do our thing and try to keep the drawers organized. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the monsoon rain hits the roof loud. We just focus on the work at hand and keep the shop running as best as we can every day.
