We are located in Chinchwad. It’s a big industrial and residential mix here. The garage is an open space where we handle mostly two-wheelers and some cars when they come. There’s always a row of bikes parked outside on the curb waiting for their turn. The walls are covered in old posters and calendars that have been there for years and turned yellow. We have a couple of work pits and some hydraulic lifts that squeak a bit when they go up and down. The main sound here is the air compressor kicking in every few minutes. We spend the day covered in engine oil and black grease. It’s a lot of cleaning spark plugs, tightening chains, and changing oil. We have a small area with a couple of blue plastic chairs for people to sit while we finish a quick job. Usually, though, they just leave their keys and come back in the evening after work. We know most of the people around here because they’ve been bringing their vehicles to us for a long time. The tea stall next door is where we get our breaks. It’s a simple operation. We don't have a computer for billing or anything fancy, just a notebook and a pen. We work until it gets dark and then we wash up and head home. It’s just honest work with engines and tools in the middle of Chinchwad.
