Exide Chandrakant Service Station

Exide Chandrakant Service Station is located over on D P Road 990 in Shukrawar Peth. Most of the time, we are busy dealing with batteries for all kinds of cars and bikes. It is a bit of a greasy job, and our hands are almost always black with dirt by the middle of the day. We have stacks of those heavy lead batteries lined up along the walls of the shop. People usually show up when their car won’t start in the morning, and they often look pretty stressed about it. We check the old battery first to see if it just needs a good charge or if it has finally given up. The shop has that distinct smell of metal and battery acid, which is just something we are used to now. We have been here in Shukrawar Peth for quite a long time. It is a fairly tight space, and lugging those big truck batteries around can be a real workout. We don't have a fancy waiting area with a television or anything like that. Customers usually just stand near the entrance or sit on a plastic stool while we finish the work. D P Road is always busy with traffic, so it is never really quiet around here. We just focus on getting the job done so the driver can get back to whatever they were doing. We keep a decent stock of the usual sizes, but occasionally we have to call around for something rare.
