You can find us at Shop No 3, right there in the area between Anand Nagar and Kalyani Nagar. It’s a practical kind of place. We mostly deal with those heavy lead-acid batteries for cars and bikes, so there is usually a faint smell of chemicals in the air. The floor has some stains from old spills, and we have shelves lined with black battery casings. We spend a lot of time checking voltages and topping up distilled water for customers who bring their vehicles by. It’s not the kind of job where you can keep your clothes perfectly clean. We have some chargers humming in the corner most of the day. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough space to stack the new stock and keep the old ones for scrap. Being in Shop No 3 means we have neighbors on both sides, and we all know each other well. Sometimes the work is slow, and we just sit on the stools near the entrance watching the people go by in Anand Nagar. Other times, it's a rush of people whose cars won't start in the morning. We just do the testing and the fitting without making a big deal out of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the sign above the door and the word of mouth from people around Kalyani Nagar.
