R K Emu Farms

R K Emu Farms is tucked away in the Midc area, specifically at Shop No. G 34 in the Shivkrupa Industrial Premises. We’ve been here for a bit now, working in Sector No-10. It’s not your typical office job, that’s for sure. Dealing with emus means you get your hands dirty every single day. The industrial sector can be pretty noisy with all the other businesses around, but we’ve gotten used to it. Most people stop by out of curiosity because they don’t see emu farms in the middle of an industrial zone very often. We started this place because we had an interest in these birds and it just grew from there. There isn't a lot of fancy equipment here, just the basics we need to keep things running. Some days are slow and others are just a rush of feeding and cleaning. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it keeps us on our toes. The shop itself is simple, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We spend most of our time out back or handling the supplies. People ask if it’s hard work, and yeah, it is. But we like the routine of it. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm out there, just doing our thing right here in the Midc. It’s a bit dusty and the summer heat hits the industrial sheds pretty hard, but we manage.
