Pungliya Hospital

Pungliya Hospital is situated at 562/1 in Shivaji Nagar. It’s a busy part of Pune, so there’s always something happening outside our doors. The hospital has been around for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Inside, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a local medical facility. We have beds for people who need to stay over and a small area for consultations. The floors are that old-fashioned tile that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are. Dealing with the traffic in Shivaji Nagar can be a bit of a headache for patients trying to reach us, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit calmer. We handle all kinds of general health issues. The nurses are usually busy charting things down or checking on patients in the wards. It’s not a super modern place with touchscreens everywhere, but we have the necessary medical gear. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers a bit, and we have to get the maintenance guy to fix it. It’s just a real place where people come to get better. We work long shifts and try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of people. It’s an honest living in a very busy part of the city.
