Pune Pan Shop

Pune Pan Shop is situated in the middle of Raviwar Peth, at the 8th Cross, number 660. This is one of the oldest parts of the city, so the streets are very narrow and always packed with people buying things in bulk. It is a wholesale area, which means there are trucks and carts everywhere, and the noise is constant from sunrise to sunset. Our shop is just a small part of this massive marketplace. We don't have a lot of room, just enough to stand and serve the people who come by. The 8th Cross is particularly tight, so you have to be careful not to get bumped by a passing scooter. We’ve been here at number 660 for a long time. The building is old, like most things in Raviwar Peth, and it has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a bit of paint. We don't do any marketing because in a place like this, people just find you or they don't. Our regulars are mostly the other workers and shop owners from the nearby hardware and cloth markets. When it rains, the lanes get quite cramped as everyone tries to stay under the shop awnings. It’s a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s also very lively. You hear every language being spoken and see all sorts of goods being moved around. It’s just a regular shop.
