Project Engineer

We are based at C 16 Mantri Niketan in the Dapodi area of Pune. It is an industrial sort of neighborhood with a lot of factories around, which makes sense for the type of work we do here. As a project engineer, my days are usually filled with a mix of office work and visiting local workshops to check on progress. Pune 411012 has a lot of manufacturing and construction going on, so there is always some project that needs an engineer to take a look at it. The office at Mantri Niketan is pretty quiet most of the time, which is good when I need to concentrate on complex drawings or calculations. It is a modest space, nothing too fancy at all, just some overflowing bookshelves and a sturdy old desk. I have lived around this area for a long time, so I know the neighborhood well and how things get done in this part of town. The work is mostly about making sure that the practical side of a project matches up with the plans that were made on paper. Often, those plans do not quite work out in reality, and that is where I have to step in and find a solution that actually works on the ground. I do not really care for big corporate talk or fancy presentations. I would much rather just sit down and figure out the best way to move forward with the task at hand. It is steady work that keeps me busy.
