Prism Electrosystems

Akurdi is where you will find Prism Electrosystems. We have a workshop here that focuses on different kinds of electronic systems and circuits. It isn't a retail shop where you buy toys; it's more for technical work and industrial needs. The place is usually full of testing meters and tangled wires on the benches. We spend a lot of time soldering and checking connections. It can get quite hot in the afternoon because the ventilation isn't the best in this building. Akurdi is an industrial hub so there are always people looking for help with their machines. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us who enjoy working with our hands. Sometimes we take on small projects for local students too. The floor is concrete and we have old metal cupboards for all the components. We don't really do any advertising. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking past. The power supply in this area can be a bit temperamental, so we have a backup generator that makes a lot of noise. We’ve been at this for several years now. It’s just steady work and trying to make sure the boards we build actually work the first time. It is a quiet life for the most part, just focusing on the electronics and making sure the job gets done right.
