Pride Pure Veg is located over at Akurdi 26. We’ve been serving food here for a while, and it’s mostly just simple vegetarian meals. The place isn't very large, but we’ve got enough tables for people to sit comfortably. I opened this because I wanted a clean place where locals could get a decent plate of food without spending too much. We don't use any meat here at all, which is important for a lot of our regulars. The kitchen opens early to get everything ready for the lunch rush. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers in the back. We don't have a massive menu, just the items we know we can make consistently every day. The neighborhood is a mix of workers and families, so we see all kinds of people. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, but we try to sweep it often. We don't have any air conditioning, just some fans that keep the air moving. It’s a very basic setup, nothing like those big corporate restaurants you see in the malls. We just focus on the cooking and making sure everyone leaves with a full stomach. It’s been a steady business for us at Akurdi. We appreciate the people who keep coming back week after week. It’s how we keep the lights on and keep going. We don't need any fancy awards to feel good about our work.
