Pravin Telecom

We are located out in Vishrantwadi, specifically over in the Rakanpur Santej area of Gandhinagar. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but for the people out here, we’re the main spot for phone stuff. Pravin Telecom isn't a big flashy store. It’s just a room with a counter and a lot of stock piled up in the back. We do a lot of work with second-hand handsets. People bring in their old phones when they want to upgrade, and we fix them up to sell to someone else. It's practical. Dust is a bit of a problem because of the road construction nearby, so I'm always wiping down the phone screens. We sell a lot of batteries too. It seems like the heat around here just eats them up after a year or so. My brother helps out on the weekends when the crowd gets bigger. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in a big ledger book. It works for us. If someone needs a specific screen for a Chinese model phone, we usually have to hunt around for it. It might take a week. We just tell people the truth about how long it will take. There's no use promising something we can't do by tomorrow. Often we stay open a bit later if someone calls ahead.
