Pravin General Stores

Out here in Hadapsar 13, Pravin General Stores has been a steady presence. It is a simple shop with shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We sell a bit of everything that a household might run out of. There is flour, oil, spices, and cleaning stuff. We spend a lot of time weighing out grains or packing small bags for the evening rush. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we try to keep the counters clean. Most of the people who come in live just a few minutes away. We know their names and what they usually buy. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell them to come back tomorrow once the delivery van arrives. It is just the way it goes. We don't have an automated system, just a thick notebook where we keep track of things. The stools in the shop are old and a bit wobbly, but they serve their purpose when someone wants to sit and chat for a minute. The morning starts early with the milk crates arriving, and we don't really stop until the shutters go down at night. It is hard work, but it is what we do. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a reliable one for the folks living around Hadapsar 13. It is a long day but the community here makes it worth the effort.
