Praveen Yedalawar

Kothrud is a place that feels like home to anyone who has stayed in Pune for more than a week. Praveen Yedalawar operates out of Flat No.4 in Right Bhusari Colony. It is a quiet residential patch, away from the main road noise. My work space is basically my living room and a small side room where I keep all the equipment. I have been here for a long time, so most of the people in the colony know me by name. The day starts with a walk to the local market and then it is straight to work. I do not have a big staff, just me and occasionally someone to help with the heavy lifting or deliveries. The apartment is on the ground floor, so people often just knock on the window if they see me sitting there. It is not a corporate setup at all. There are stacks of folders on the dining table and sometimes my cat jumps on the keyboard when I am typing something important. I do not believe in those polished business meetings. Usually, we just sit down, have some water or tea, and talk about what needs to be done. The work gets done eventually, even if it takes a bit of time to get all the parts moving. Pune has a specific way of doing things, and I think I fit right into that. It is slow but steady. We do not have any big signs outside, just a small nameplate by the door.
