Prasad Provision Stores

I started running Prasad Provision Stores on Jangali Maharaj Road because there weren't many places nearby where you could get everything in one go. Pimple Nilakh has grown so much since I first came here. It used to be much quieter. Now there are cars and bikes everywhere, especially near the shop. We keep mostly groceries and daily kitchen items on our shelves. I spend a lot of time counting the stock of rice and dal to make sure the containers are full. The lights in the back sometimes flicker, and I have been meaning to fix that, but the days just go by so fast. Customers come in mostly in the evenings after they finish work. They want to grab some oil or flour before they head home to cook dinner. I have a small stool behind the counter where I sit when there is a gap in the crowd. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to talk about the weather or the new construction down the street. It is a simple life here. We don't have any fancy displays or neon signs. Just the name on the board out front and whatever people need for their houses. The floor needs a good sweep every couple of hours because of the dirt from the road. I like the routine of it all. It keeps me busy and I know almost everyone on this block.
