Prasad General Stores

Prasad General Stores is situated at 49-2 in the Kharadi area. It is a pretty straightforward general store where we keep the essentials. Kharadi has grown a lot over the years, but our little corner at 49-2 stays pretty much the same. We have all the basic stuff like soap, flour, sugar, and some snacks. It is the kind of place where you can just pop in if you realized you ran out of something while cooking. We do not have a big staff, it is mostly just us handling everything from unloading the crates to taking the cash. Sometimes the shop gets a little dusty because of the construction nearby, so we have to clean the shelves quite often. We do not have a computer system, so we do all our math by hand or with a small calculator. It works fine for a shop of this size. We know most of the people who live in the immediate buildings. They come in for a chat as much as they do for shopping. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone in the neighborhood. It is a lot of hours, opening early and closing late, but that is what it takes to run a general store in Kharadi. We are not trying to be a big supermarket. We are just a local shop where you can get what you need without any fuss. It is practical and it serves the people.
