Prakash Steel Centre

Prakash Steel Centre is located at 236 Pimpri Colony. If you've been around Pimpri for a while, you probably know the area. It’s mostly residential around the edges, but we have our shop right here where we handle all kinds of steel supplies. We have stacks of pipes, sheets, and rods piled up. It is a heavy business, so there is always the sound of metal clanging and trucks loading or unloading at the front. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have a small desk tucked into the corner where we handle the billing and the paperwork, but most of the space is taken up by the stock. It gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but that is just part of working with industrial materials. We've been here for years, and most of our customers are local builders or people doing their own home repairs who need a bit of steel for a gate or a frame. We don't have a sales team or any big marketing brochures. People just know we are here and they come in when they need something. Sometimes we have to move half the shop just to get to a specific size of rod at the bottom of the pile. It’s hard work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don't mind it though. It is a steady way to make a living in the colony and we plan to stay.
