Prakash Steel Center

Prakash Steel Center is located in Hadapsar, right in the Kshama Society on Dharam Nagar Road. If you walk into our place, you’re going to see stacks of metal, pipes, and sheets everywhere. It’s a bit dusty and the air smells like iron. We’ve been here for years. We mostly sell steel to local builders or people trying to fix up their own homes. It’s heavy work. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting pieces to the right size. My hands are usually rough from handling the material. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s a warehouse style setup where what you see is what you get. People come in with a list of what they need for a gate or a roof, and we pull it from the stacks. Sometimes we have to move twenty pipes just to get to the one at the bottom. It keeps us in shape, I guess. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the books, but mostly we are out on the floor. The traffic on Dharam Nagar Road can be a pain when we are trying to load a customer's truck. We just try to get the orders right and keep the stock moving. It’s basic, honest work. Steel is steel, and we have plenty of it here in Hadapsar.
