Our shop is in Yerwada 12th Main, specifically at Indra Nagar 90. It is a busy area with a lot of people moving around. We have a lot of different things stacked up on shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It is mostly stuff for daily use and some hardware items. We have to use a ladder to reach the top rows. The floor is made of old grey stone and it has some cracks near the entrance. We do not have a computer for everything; we still use a pen and paper for most of our notes. The light inside is a bit dim because the front window is covered with hanging packets of snacks and small tools. Sometimes it takes a while to find what someone is asking for because things get moved around. We have a small radio that plays local songs in the background. The neighborhood kids often come in asking for change or just to look at the glass jars. We stay open until late evening when the street lights come on. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit when it is on the high setting. We have a big heavy door that we lock with a thick chain at night. It is just a small business trying to keep up with the daily needs of the people living around here.
