I am currently working out of Flat Number 103 in Building QB 4/6, which is over in the Q Sector of Ajmera Colony in Pimpri. Since it is a residential area, it is definitely not your typical high-rise office environment with a lobby and elevators. Being located in Pune 18 means I am still quite close to a lot of the local industrial action, but the office space itself is very modest and quiet. It is basically the place where I handle all the local coordination and keep a close eye on what is happening with our various steel projects in this region. Since it is a flat, the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed than a standard corporate office, although I still make sure to keep a very professional work schedule every day. I spend the vast majority of my time on the phone or working on my laptop, reaching out to different contacts and making sure the logistics for the steel side of the business are moving along smoothly. It can get a bit quiet around the colony during the middle of the day, which is actually quite helpful when I really need to concentrate on writing up reports or checking figures. Sometimes I have to head out to meet people at sites nearby, but a lot of the work is just keeping the lines of communication open between everyone involved. It is a simple setup with no big sign outside, just a functional space.
