You can find Porwal Metal Corporation over at 607 Raviwar Peth. We are right in the Kapad Gunj area, directly opposite the Shani Mandir. Being across from the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers every day, which is a nice backdrop to the heavy work we do. Raviwar Peth is a crowded, old-fashioned market where everything is moving all the time. Our place is full of metal—sheets, rods, and scraps piled up in different sections. It’s heavy work and it’s often dirty, so we don't worry too much about keeping things looking polished. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is hard concrete to handle the weight of the inventory. We spend our time weighing stuff, cutting metal to size, and loading it onto trucks or carts that manage to squeeze through the narrow streets. It’s a loud environment with the sound of metal clanking and the city noise outside. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come in, you’re walking into a working warehouse where business is done over a simple wooden table. Most of the people we deal with are regulars who have been coming to this part of the city for decades. It’s a rough and ready kind of life, but it suits us.
