Poonam General Store

Our shop, Poonam General Store, is located right in the middle of the Timber Market area in Bhawani Peth. To be exact, we are at Sr No 54/B/P 84 in Loyia Nagar. It’s a very busy part of Pune, especially with all the wood businesses and trucks moving around all day. We are quite close to the fire bridge and the office of Mal Ramesh Bagave. Being in a place like the Timber Market means we get a real mix of people coming through. We sell a bit of everything that a person might need during a work day or for their home. It’s a small, practical space. We don’t have much room for fancy decorations, so we just use every inch of the walls for stock. The floors are a bit worn down from all the boots coming in and out, but that’s just part of being here. It’s a family-run kind of place, nothing too formal. We know the other shop owners around here well. If you’re looking for us, just head towards the fire station and look for the store with the most stuff piled up near the door. We’ve been here for years and plan to stay for many more. It’s just a honest little business serving the local community and the workers in the market. We keep it simple and stay open through the busy hours.
