Poona Measuring Tools

Started the shop years ago near the Holkar Bridge. 60 Bopodi is where we spend most of our time. It’s a busy spot by the Kothrod Line Bazar. Some days it’s quiet, just the sound of the traffic outside and the clink of metal tools being moved around on the wooden counters. We keep a lot of measuring stuff here, mostly for people who know what they are looking for. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights. The shelves are packed tight with boxes, and sometimes you have to move three things just to find one. If you walk down from the bridge, you’ll see the sign. We usually have the tea guy come by around eleven. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from parts we’ve handled over the years. We aren’t big on paperwork or flashy displays. People just come in, ask for a gauge or a tape, and we dig it out for them. The air smells a bit like cold steel and cardboard. It’s a simple life running a place like this in Poona. We don’t have a massive team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone calls, we usually answer unless we are busy moving stock in the back room. It’s just how we operate day to day, nothing more to it than that. We are just here to do the work.
