Poona Hospital & Research Centre

Our branch of Poona Hospital & Research Centre sits right on Karve Road, specifically at 42/2 Erandwane. It’s a busy spot because we’re directly opposite SNDT College. You probably see the students walking by all the time while we’re inside dealing with patients. The Irrigation Colony area is usually humming with activity, and our building is right in the middle of it. We’ve got different departments spread out here. Some days are much louder than others because of the traffic on the main road, but inside we just focus on the medical work. It’s a functional place. We have rooms for people staying over and rooms for quick consultations. The staff here has been together for a while, so we know how to manage the morning rush. It isn't a glossy, new-age facility, but it has everything we need to treat people. People from all over Erandwane come here when they need a doctor. We spend a lot of time updating charts and making sure the labs are running right. There’s no big secret to how we run things; we just show up, see who’s waiting, and start the day. Sometimes we run out of parking space because it's such a tight area, but that’s just how it is on Karve Road. We just keep doing what we do and try to stay on top of the schedule.
