Poona Hospital & Research Center

We have been here in Sadashiv Peth for quite a long time now. If you know this part of town, you know the streets are always narrow and full of people going about their day. Our building is at No. 27 and it is hard to miss because there are always people standing outside or waiting for their rides. Inside, the floors are clean but you can tell it’s an older place. The reception area stays pretty busy from early morning until late evening. Sometimes the fans make a little noise, but they keep the air moving while people wait. The doctors here go through their rounds every day and the nurses are usually rushing from one room to another with their charts. It is not a fancy place with shiny glass everywhere, but it works for what people need. We see a lot of local families who have been coming to this area for generations. The stairs are a bit steep if you aren’t used to them, but there is an elevator for those who need it. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s names and how we like our tea. It gets a bit loud when the traffic picks up outside on the main road, but once you are inside the wards, things settle down a bit. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the paperwork is handled properly every day.
