You can find us at Survey No 53/54 in the New Bazaar area. We are part of the Omkar Society in Adrash Nagar, right on the New Link Road in Khadki. The shop is quite packed with stuff. We try to stock everything from grains to small toys for kids. It gets a bit messy sometimes because we have so much inventory in a small space. We opened this store because the neighborhood needed a place close by for daily essentials. Khadki is a nice place to work, though the traffic on the Link Road can be a lot. We have regular people who come in every morning for bread and eggs. I spend most of my day behind the counter. My wife helps with the accounts in the evenings. We don't use any fancy marketing. People just know we are here. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use a torch to find things for the customers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose. We don't mind. We just want to make sure the locals have what they need without going too far. The shelves are wooden and a bit squeaky. We keep a record of everything in a thick notebook. It’s a simple life running a store like this. We've been here for many years and have seen the kids in the society grow up. It isn't much, but it is our way of helping out the people around us.
