Poona General Store

Our shop, Poona General Store, is right in the heart of the city at Raviwar Peth. We are located near Fadke Houd, which is a very well-known spot in this part of Pune. The streets around here are narrow and always packed with people and two-wheelers. It is one of those old market areas where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. We sell general items, which means a mix of everything from plastic buckets to small stationery items and household hardware. The building is quite old and has that typical Pune style with high ceilings and thick walls. It stays a bit cooler inside during the summer, which is nice. We spend most of our time organizing the small items in glass jars or hanging things from the hooks on the ceiling to save space. There is always a lot of noise from the market outside, with vendors shouting and horns blaring. We have been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We open the shutters in the morning, dust the counters, and start waiting for the first customers. It is a lot of work to keep track of so many small items, but we are used to it by now. People from all over Pune come to Raviwar Peth to buy things in bulk or find items they can't get elsewhere. We are just one small part of this big, busy market.
