We operate out of Plot No. 20 in the Girija Housing Society, specifically at 4, Krishna in the LIC Colony on Pand Road. Kothrud is a nice area, and being based in a housing society makes our workplace feel a bit more relaxed than a typical factory. We’ve been here at Polysteel Corportation Pvt. Ltd. for a while now. The space is used for our administrative work and some of the lighter steel-related coordination. It’s a bit unusual to have a business like ours in a residential-style colony, but it works for us. We have desks piled with catalogs and samples of steel products. Most of our day is spent on the phone talking to clients or checking in with the manufacturing units we work with. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a few of us here making sure the orders are processed and the deliveries are on track. The trees outside the window make it a pleasant place to sit, even when things get stressful. We usually have a bit of a struggle with parking if too many visitors come at once, but we manage. We don’t use any high-level business talk; we just tell people what we have and when it can be delivered. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve known some of our customers for years and they often stop by for a chat. Every Friday, we try to clear the paperwork so we can start fresh on Monday.
