We’re located out in Phursungi at the Kondai Complex. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but it’s where we have the space for all our seed stocks. At Golden Seeds, we spend a lot of time checking the quality of what we’re sending out to farmers. Seeds are tricky because if they aren't stored right, they won't grow. We’ve got a warehouse that stays pretty cool, which is important. The area around Shri Gajanan Nagar has changed a lot since we first moved in. More buildings, more people. We mostly stay busy with the seasonal cycles. When it's planting time, the phones don't stop ringing. We aren't a massive corporation with a huge marketing team. It’s just a few of us who know about agriculture. We talk to the suppliers, check the bags, and load the trucks. Sometimes the rain makes the road to the complex a bit muddy, but we manage. We just want to make sure the seeds we sell actually work for the people buying them. It’s practical work. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just provide seeds that grow well in this climate. It’s a honest living and we like being part of the local community here. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a short break then. We keep a simple office and just focus on the seeds we handle every day.
