Our place is located in Chinchwadgaon, right above the Ganesh Super Market. It's a pretty lively area because of the market and being so close to Talera Hospital. You can always hear the noise from the street below, people haggling over vegetables or the sound of rickshaws zipping by. Finding the entrance to Persistent Systems Ltd here can be a bit tricky for people who haven't visited before, as you have to look for the stairs near the market entrance. The office is actually part of Usha Agavane’s property. Inside, it’s just a normal workspace. We don’t have any of those fancy modern lounges or anything like that. We have our computers and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. The commute in Pune-33 can be a real headache, so most of us are just happy to get to our desks and start the day. There’s a certain rhythm to working above a shop; you know it’s lunchtime when the smells from the food stalls start drifting up. We just focus on getting our work done and keeping things simple. It's not a polished environment, but it feels like a real part of the neighborhood. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. It's just how things are here in this corner of Pune.
