Pearl General Stores

You can find us at Joshana Appartment, which is near where the Hathway cables come through by Bhairoba Nala. This part of Kothrud on Solapur Road is always moving. We opened up Pearl General Stores because we saw there was not a place close enough for people in the apartments to grab their daily necessities without a long walk. It is a basic shop. We sell things like soaps, biscuits, some stationery, and the usual kitchen items. The space is small, so we have to be careful about what we stock. If it does not sell, it just takes up room. I have lived in this area for a long time, so I know what the families around here usually want. Sometimes the rain makes things damp near the Nala, so we have to keep everything tucked away properly. It is not a glamorous job, sitting here and counting change, but it keeps us busy. My son helps out on the weekends when it gets a bit crowded. We do not have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. People mostly know us from living nearby. It is quiet in the afternoons, which is when I usually tidy up the jars and sweep the floor. If you are heading down Solapur Road and realize you forgot something, we are right there by the apartment block. Just look for the sign near the cable wires. We keep things simple here for everyone.
