Our office is over at 102 Ariana, right in Shreenath Nagar. If you know Lane Number 3 in Baner, you know it can get a bit crowded with all the cars parked on the side. We’re on the first floor, which is nice because we don’t have to wait for the elevator if we’re in a hurry. The building is fairly new, but like everything in this part of town, there’s always a bit of dust coming in from the road construction nearby. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our monitors. We have a small balcony where some of us go to get a bit of air when the air conditioning feels too cold. There’s a guy who comes by with tea every afternoon, and that’s usually the highlight of the day. Baner has changed so much lately; there are cafes everywhere now, but we usually just stick to the tiffin service or the small place around the corner that does good poha. We don’t have any big posters or fancy glass walls. It’s just a flat that we turned into a workspace. It’s quiet enough for us to focus, except when the school bus drops kids off downstairs in the afternoon. We like being in this part of Pune because it’s easy for most of the staff to reach by bike. It’s a simple setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
