Pavan Pan Shop

Pavan Pan Shop is located in the Chinchwad area, right near the Chitralaya Society in Sardar Nagar. It’s a bit more of a residential spot compared to the main roads, so things move a little slower around here. We open up in the morning and sweep the front of the shop before the sun gets too high. The shop is filled with all kinds of small items, not just the leaves and supari. We have some jars of candy and little snacks too. The counter is old wood and it has some stains from the years of work we’ve done on it. We spend a lot of time chatting with the people who live in Sardar Nagar. It feels more like a community spot than a big business. We keep the leaves in a cool box to make sure they don’t wilt. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a big staff, it’s usually just one of us here at a time. We try to keep the place tidy but with so many small jars and packets, it’s hard to keep everything in its perfect place. We’re just happy to be here serving the folks from Chitralaya Society and whoever else happens to be passing through Chinchwad. We also have a small bench outside where some of the older men sit in the evenings.
