Patni Computer Ltd

Patni Computer Ltd is located over at 400, Hingne Khurd Vitthalwadi, right on Sinhagad Road in Pune. It is a busy stretch of road, especially with the New Marathi School right across from us. You can usually hear the kids playing during recess while we are inside working. We are near Ajinkyanagar Society, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit all our testing equipment and a few old monitors into the space. We open up early enough to catch the morning crowd. There is always a layer of Pune dust on the front window that needs wiping down. Most of our day is spent dealing with slow laptops or trying to help someone recover a lost file. It is noisy outside with the traffic on Sinhagad Road, but it feels like home to us. We have a small kettle in the back for tea because the afternoons can get long. We don't have any shiny reception desks or corporate uniforms. It is just a practical place where we handle whatever computer trouble comes through the door. Sometimes the school staff comes over for help, or a parent drops off a tablet on their way home. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the hardware until it is time to lock up. It’s been our daily routine for a long time now in this neighborhood.
