Parthav Vyas General Store

Our shop, Parthav Vyas General Store, is tucked away in the Kasba Peth area of Pune. Kasba Peth is a very old part of the city, and our store fits right into the surroundings. The roads are quite narrow around here, so you mostly see people walking or on scooters. We serve the families who have lived in this neighborhood for generations. It’s a small place, and we know exactly where every single item is kept, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. We sell the basic things that people need for their daily lives. We don't have any loud music or bright lights. It’s just a quiet spot where you can get what you need without any fuss. Being in Pune, we see the city changing all around us, but Kasba Peth still feels like the old days in a lot of ways. We spend a lot of our day just checking the inventory and talking to the people who stop by for a chat. It isn’t about making a huge profit or being the biggest store in town. It’s just about being here and providing a service to the people on our street. We open up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool and stay open until the sun goes down. It’s a steady, simple life that we’ve built for ourselves in this corner of Pune.
