Parmeshwar Steel Center

We are over at 25 Raviwar Peth. Parmeshwar Steel Center is the name on the board, though the paint is peeling a bit now. Being in Raviwar Peth means we are right in the middle of all the chaos. Our shop is mostly filled with steel products. It’s heavy stuff, so we spend a lot of time moving things around. The air is always a bit metallic smelling. We open the shop early in the morning before the sun gets too high because the heat in these narrow lanes can be tough. We have a small bench where we sit when there are no customers. Most of our day is spent talking to regular people who come in for bits and pieces of steel. We don't use any fancy computers; we just write things down in our books. The street outside is always full of activity. Sometimes a cow wanders by, or a big truck gets stuck. It’s just a normal day for us. We’ve seen many shops change owners around here, but we are still at number 25. It’s a simple business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the work, and go home when it gets dark. It's been like this for a long time. People know us by name, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street.
