Parimal Profiles

Our place is in Warje, right across from the Wardhman petrol pump. If you stand outside, you can smell the fuel and the exhaust from the bikes. We spend most of our time out back where the cutting happens. It is a bit dark inside but we have good lights over the work areas. The metal comes in on big trucks and we have to clear the floor to make room. It is a lot of heavy lifting and measuring twice before we do anything. We have a small cabin for the accounts but most of us stay on the floor. The noise of the blades is something you just get used to after a week. We usually eat lunch together sitting on the crates. Warje has changed a lot since we started but the shop stays the same. The walls could use some paint but the machines are kept in good shape. People stop by for directions because of the petrol pump landmark. We don't mind. We just point them the right way and get back to the profiles. It is honest work and the days go by fast when there is a big order. We don't use much computer stuff, mostly just pencils and notebooks to keep track of things. It works for us. The floor is always covered in small metal bits that we have to shovel out every Friday.
