Parichye Pan Shop

Our little pan shop is located on Pashan Excel Kalyanamantap Road. It is just a small cabin really, but it’s where everyone around here stops by. People coming back from work or heading to a wedding at the hall nearby often pull over. We have all kinds of pan, from the simple ones to the ones with more sweet stuff inside. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter folding leaves and chatting. You hear a lot of gossip and news standing here. The road outside can get very congested during wedding season. Sometimes the music from the celebrations is so loud we can’t even hear what the customer is ordering. We also keep some cigarettes and candies for the kids who live in the apartments close by. It’s a small life but it keeps us busy. I remember when this road was much quieter and there weren't so many buildings. Now there are cars everywhere. We try to keep our spot tidy, though the red stains on the ground outside are hard to avoid. It’s just me and a helper sometimes. We don't have a big sign or anything. Most people know us by word of mouth. If you live in Pashan, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, serving one person at a time.
