Paratha Galli

If you go down Rajmahal Road in Katraj, you will find us at number 17. Paratha Galli has been here for a bit now. It is just a simple place where we make parathas. We aren't a big restaurant with waiters in uniforms or anything like that. It’s more of a kitchen where you can get a hot meal. Katraj Rajmahal Road stays busy with traffic, so we see a lot of people passing through. Some stop because they are hungry, others come because they live nearby. We keep the menu pretty basic. We don’t try to do too many things at once. The stove stays hot all day. Sometimes the line gets long, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. We try to work fast but sometimes there is a wait. That’s just how it is when you’re making things one by one. The shop at Katraj is small and it gets a bit warm inside from the cooking. Most people don't mind. They just want their food. We use what we have and try to make sure nobody leaves hungry. Paratha Galli isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we are here every day. It's a lot of rolling dough and flipping parathas, but it's what we do. It keeps the lights on and the neighbors fed every single evening.
