Panchal Steel

Panchal Steel is based out in Bhosarigoan, right on the Sarjapura Road in Anekal Taluk. It’s a bit of a dusty area because there’s always a lot of heavy traffic and trucks moving through. Our yard is full of steel bars, sheets, and various metal scraps. It’s a very physical place to work. Your clothes get dirty the second you arrive. We don't have a fancy building. It’s mostly just a large open space with a small tin-roofed office in the corner. We spend the day weighing steel and loading it onto trucks. The sun gets really hot in Anekal, so the metal can be painful to touch by the afternoon. We wear thick gloves and just get on with it. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just a local steel supplier. Most of the people who come here are builders or small-scale manufacturers from around the taluk. We know most of them by name. We have a small ledger where we track the weights and the payments. There’s a local tea shop a short walk away where we go when we need a break. The sound of metal clanging is the background noise of our lives. We don't have any big mission statements or polished brochures. If someone needs steel, they come to the yard, we weigh it, and they take it away. It’s honest, heavy work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
