Pallavi Mobile

Our shop is over at the Pune Cantonment Board area, specifically near the Hosur Main Road by Kudlu Gate. It’s a busy junction and there is always a lot of foot traffic coming from the main road. We keep a variety of mobile phones and all the stuff that goes with them, like chargers and earphones. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every inch of wall space to hang up cases and cables. I spend a lot of time behind the counter, talking to people who have dropped their phones or need a new SIM card. The light from the display cases is quite bright, which helps when I’m trying to see the small screws inside a handset. Outside, the traffic at Kudlu Gate can be a nightmare, but inside we just focus on the repairs and the customers. We have a small radio that stays on in the background, mostly playing old songs while we work. It’s a simple life here, just managing the inventory and making sure we have enough stock for the weekend. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to finish a repair. We don't have any fancy uniforms or a corporate script. It’s just us, doing our best to fix whatever tech problems walk through the door. The neighborhood is loud but it feels like home after all these years of being here.
