Padmaja Caterers

Padmaja Caterers is based at Bhusari Colony Main Road 53. We aren’t a restaurant where you can just walk in and sit down. Instead, our kitchen is always humming with the sound of big orders being prepared for weddings, birthdays, or just small family gatherings. It’s a bit of a marathon when we have a big event. We start prep work days in advance, peeling bags and bags of onions or sorting through lentils. The kitchen is quite large, but when we have five or six people working at once, it feels very small. We focus on local flavors because that’s what we know best. My mother started this business from our home kitchen, and it just grew from there until we needed this dedicated space on the main road. We don't have a flashy website or a marketing person. Most of our work comes from people who ate our food at a friend’s party and asked for our number. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery van getting stuck in traffic or a burner giving out right when we need it, but we always find a way to make it work. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours on our feet. We take pride in the fact that our food tastes the same every time. It’s just honest, home-style cooking done on a bigger scale for the neighborhood.
