Paadrsni General Stores

Paadrsni General Stores is right there in Khadki, near the Zakaria Mazjid 2. It’s a local shop, nothing more, nothing less. I spend most of my day behind the counter, watching people go by on their way to the mosque or the market. We sell a bit of everything—the usual stuff people realize they’ve run out of at the last minute. The shelves are pretty full, and sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for right away, but we usually know where it’s tucked. The shop has been in the family for a bit, and we haven't changed much. The fan overhead squeaks a little when it’s on high, and the floor is worn down in the spots where people stand to pay. It’s a noisy neighborhood, especially during prayer times or festivals, but that’s what makes it feel alive. We don't have a website or a marketing plan. People just walk in because they know us and they know we're here. We talk about the weather, the local news, and how the prices of things keep going up every month. It’s a simple life, running a store in Khadki. We open early and close late. Sometimes my nephew helps out when I need a break. We’re just a part of the daily routine for the folks living around Zakaria Mazjid. It’s not a big business, but it’s ours, and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
