P K Food is tucked away on the ground floor of Ananya Apartment, which is at 487/458 in Laxmi Tekadi. It’s a bit of a different setup since we are located in a residential building rather than a main market street. It’s a bit quieter here, except when the residents are coming and going. We use the ground floor space to handle our food items. It’s not a big commercial kitchen or anything like that, just a clean space where we get things ready. We spend a lot of time packaging and checking the quality of what we have. Sometimes the neighbors come down to see what we are doing or to buy something directly. We have to be careful not to make too much noise or block the entrance to the apartments with our deliveries. The walls are plain white and we keep a few tables around for sorting things out. It’s a small team of us working here. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door so people can find us. It’s a practical way to run a business without the high rent of a main road shop. We mostly focus on getting the orders out to the people who buy from us. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to make it work. It’s just a regular, everyday operation for us. The faucet in the small sink in the corner has a slow drip that we keep meaning to fix.
