Optimal Manufacturing Technologies Pvt Ltd is located in F 202 at Ishan Shrushti, which is a residential complex in the Warje area of Pune. It might seem a bit odd to have a tech office in an apartment building, but it works out well for us. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than a standard office park, and we get to see the local families going about their day while we work on manufacturing tech stuff. Our space is basically a converted flat, so we have a kitchen and a small balcony where we go to get some fresh air. The living room area is where most of the desks are crowded together, and the bedrooms have been turned into storage for all our equipment and components. Pune weather is usually good, but it can get quite stuffy inside when we have all the machines running at once. We spend a lot of time talking through problems and trying to figure out better ways to handle the manufacturing processes we deal with. There isn't any fancy lobby or a receptionist; you just ring the bell and come on in. We usually order some snacks from the shops just outside the complex gates when we are working late. It is a very grounded way to run a business, and we like being part of the Warje neighborhood. It feels like a real community here.
