Optec International

Optec International is located up in A-804 of the Twin Towers over in Wireless Colony. Aundh is a pretty nice area, and being in the towers gives us a bit of a view, though we’re usually too busy to look out the windows much. The office is a standard setup. We’ve got our desks, some shelves full of files, and a small corner where we keep the kettle. It’s not the biggest space, but it fits us just right. We’ve been in this building for some time now, and we know the lift operators and the other folks who work in the towers. The day usually kicks off early. We get in, sort through the mail, and start on the technical tasks. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to a factory, but it keeps our minds busy. We don’t really go for the whole corporate vibe. There aren't any motivational posters on the walls or anything like that. Just some calendars and maybe a few photos of family. We focus on the details of what we’re doing because that’s what matters at the end of the day. Sometimes we stay late when things get complicated, but mostly we try to keep a steady pace. It’s a professional environment but without the stiffness you find in big city firms. We’re just a group of people doing our jobs in a building that’s seen plenty of work come and go.
