Omsaad Engineers

Our shop is number 8 inside the Ajinkyatara Industrial Estate. It's located right on Sinhagad Road, pretty much across the way from where Airotech is. We are also fairly close to the Mulund Link Road, which makes moving our materials and finished goods in and out a lot easier for us. The industrial estate is always humming with some kind of activity, with people moving crates and delivery trucks backing in and out. We’ve got our tools set up just the way we like them after all these years. It took some time to get the layout right in this small space. It’s a typical engineering shop with various lathes and bits and pieces scattered all over the workbenches. We do a lot of small custom parts and mechanical repairs. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken piece from a machine and asks if we can make a copy. We do our best to match the specs they need. It’s just practical work. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever happens to be closest picks it up. Usually, we are busy with a project and might not even hear it over the noise of the machines. The concrete floor gets quite cold in the early mornings, but once the machines start up, the place warms up fast. We've been here long enough to know all the other shop owners nearby. We borrow tools from each other sometimes. It’s a good community.
