Omkar Engineering Works Kothrud

Our workshop is over in Rambaug Colony, specifically at Plot No 3 in Dwarka House. We're quite close to the Kothrud Depot and the Raja Shree Shivaraya Pratishthan. It's a busy part of Paud Road, so there's always the sound of buses and cars in the background throughout the day. The workshop itself is a loud place, full of the sounds of metal being worked on and machines running. We’ve got machines that have been with us for years, and they still do the job just fine for what we need. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because you'll likely get a smudge on them. There’s grease and metal shavings pretty much everywhere you look. We focus on getting the engineering work done correctly, rather than making the place look pretty for visitors. Most of our guys have been here for a long time and they know exactly how each machine sounds when it’s running right. We take on all sorts of repair and fabrication jobs that come our way from the local area. Sometimes the floor is so full of different projects that you really have to watch where you step. It’s an honest way to make a living, working with your hands and solving mechanical problems for people. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small wooden desk in the corner where we keep the invoices. People from all over Kothrud bring us things to fix.
