Om Tambul Pan Shop

Om Tambul Pan Shop is located right on Chikhali Road. It is a very busy stretch of road, so there is almost always noise from the trucks and motorbikes passing by our door. We have been operating here for a while now. The shop itself is just a basic setup. We sell pan, which is our main thing, and then we have some other small items like tobacco and lime for the regulars. It is not the kind of place where you sit down and spend a lot of time. Most people just pull over their scooters, grab what they need quickly, and then head off to their jobs or back to their families. Chikhali Road gets quite dusty, especially during the dry months, so we are constantly wiping down our glass jars and the counter. We make sure to get fresh leaves every morning. Sometimes the quality from the market is great and other times it is just okay, but we work with what we have. There are a few other small businesses around us like a tea stall and a repair shop. We all know each other well. We do not have any bright lights or big decorations. It is just a wooden counter and the jars. My brother usually comes in to help during the evening rush when the crowd gets a bit bigger. Most regulars want the same thing every day, so we often start making their order as soon as we see them.
