Om Steel

Om Steel has its own building called the Om Steel Bldg. We are situated at Dange Chowk, quite close to Sarja Lodge. If you are heading down Hinjewadi Road towards Chinchwad, you’ll likely pass us. This is a very active part of the city because of all the people going to work in the tech areas. Our building is mostly dedicated to steel products. It’s a noisy place to work because of the metal clanging and the heavy trucks that stop by to load or unload. The floors are tough and the walls are simple. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see the metal and the staff working. We deal with a lot of construction and industrial stuff, so things can get a bit dirty and greasy. That’s just the nature of the business. We’ve been at Dange Chowk for a long time, watching the flyovers and new buildings go up around us. It used to be much quieter here. Now, there is always traffic. We start our work early and stay late to finish whatever needs doing. We have a small office area inside where we keep our books and talk to visitors. It’s mostly just us and the heavy materials every day. We don’t use any polished language because the steel business doesn't really need it. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the right people.
